Responsibilities
Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used in proceedings and contract negotiations
Represent clients in consumer protection matters, including FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, and DTPA cases
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations
Provide client‑focused legal advice and maintain strong communication
Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to deliver effective case strategies
Continue learning and growing in practice areas connected to consumer law, debt resolution, and financial justice
Qualifications
Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam
Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
Effective communication skills and problem‑solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
Compensation $70,000 - $80,000 per year
