Community and Family Resources Community and Family Resources is currently seeking a Counselor provider substance abuse and gambling treatment services to the patients on our Women's Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Unit in Fort Dodge. Responsibilities
Assists clients in completion of necessary assessment forms/documents. Conducts individual assessment sessions for completion of psychosocial histories of clients. Participates with Program Supervisor in development of recommendations for clients. Prepares and distributes assessment results, reports, etc. as required and requested. Assists individuals and families in the intervention process through educational and planning sessions and, when feasible, participates in the interventions. Assists in the development, coordination, and evaluation of treatment program. Facilitates groups as required and provides follow-up services. Schedule
Type: Full-Time Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 8:30a-5p or 9a-5:30p except Wednesdays which are 11a-7p Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the social or behavioral sciences, is required; OR Associate degree, preferably in the social or behavioral sciences, AND two years of experience as a full-time substance use and/or problem gambling counselor may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Certification as a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) is preferred. If not achieved before hire, candidate must be willing to get certified after hire as soon as they can meet the qualifications per the Iowa Board of Certification standards. Benefits
