About the Role As a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Team Manager, you will play a critical role in advancing business growth within the food & beverage sector. You will leverage your strong technical expertise in fluid flow control systems, valves, and related components, along with your proven track record in sales and business development, to lead our technical sales team to success.
In this position, you will develop and manage high-performing teams, foster strategic partnerships, oversee key accounts, and drive impactful sales initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Your leadership and vision will be essential to shaping our market presence and delivering sustained business success.
Core Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and inside sales team to consistently exceed revenue targets.
Foster a coaching culture with ongoing training, feedback, and performance management.
Drive sales strategies for market expansion in the food & beverage industry, adapting tactics to maximize growth.
Guide the team to prioritize smart prospecting and engage high-potential new customers.
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at producers, planning firms, integrators, and plant constructors.
Deliver technical expertise and consultative selling, ensuring solutions meet regulatory and operational needs.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure and after-sales support.
Support the sales team in delivering proposals and presentations to win strategic deals.
Collaborate with engineering teams to conceptualize and deliver innovative fluid control solutions.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, enhancing brand visibility and generating new business.
Partner with marketing and CIMs to launch targeted promotional campaigns aligned with strategic objectives.
Maintain strong communication with customers, distributors, and internal teams to keep stakeholders informed of new products and solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Proven sales management experience, including leading and developing sales teams to achieve business objectives.
Extensive business experience with OEMs and plant construction projects in the food & beverage sector.
Demonstrated success in building and influencing relationships with key stakeholders, such as producers, planning and engineering firms, integrators, and plant constructors.
Well-established professional network within the food & beverage industry.
Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships at all organizational levels.
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in hygienic/aseptic fluid control solutions (e.g. valves, pumps, process control equipment) within the food & beverage manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and cleanroom environments.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze complex fluid control challenges and present customer-focused solutions.
Self-motivated and strategic thinker with advanced problem-solving skills.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically to meet clients and attend industry events.
Demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders, constructively managing conflict, and mentoring talent for future leadership roles.
Experience working within a collaborative, global matrix organization.
