CUSTOMER SERVICE/INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - 3 - STEVENS EQUIPMENT SUPPLY
Stevens Equipment Supply, a member of Daikin Industries Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative role to support our branch operations group located in Denver, CO. The CSR/ISR sells the organization’s products and services for prospective and established customers by phone, email, fax and in person, providing solutions and ensuring a smooth, quick sales process.
Pay
Base pay range: $22.00/hr – $27.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)

Responsibilities
Build and maintain sales with new business and existing accounts through outbound calls, in‑house discussions and active dealer communication of new products, services, and pricing.
Provide excellent customer service via walk‑ins, phone calls, and e‑mails.
Execute all aspects of the sales function including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy of information entered.
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications as needed.
Coordinate shipment schedules, coordinate with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information.
Educate customers about product terminology, features, and benefits to improve sales and satisfaction.
Assist with product replenishment, warranty, and returns.
Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with company policies.
Daily cash drawer processing, end‑of‑shift counts, deposit slips, and safe placement.
Periodically reach out to customers to gauge satisfaction and monitor competitive activity.
Maintain accurate records and prepare sales activity reports.
Keep knowledge of HVAC products current with industry trends.
Work positively with all management levels and peers to maintain high‑level service.
Follow work instructions, operating procedures, and company policies.
Travel to customer locations for follow‑up, presentations, or demonstrations as needed.
Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory counts, product movement, and forklift operation.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of HVAC equipment/products (preferred).
General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and database application experience.
High‑quality customer service and relationship management skills via walk‑ins, phone, and e‑mail.
Professional, positive attitude with the ability to diffuse difficult situations.
Effective listening, rapport‑building, and communication skills.
Phone and e‑mail etiquette, professionalism, patience, poise, and tact.
Ability to handle high‑volume customer traffic, provide concise technical explanations, and accurately input orders.
Time‑management and multi‑tasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
Good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity.
Capacity to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Understanding and adherence to procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
Experience
6+ years of progressive sales and customer service experience preferred (6+ years in HVAC industry preferred).
Education
High School diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred (HVAC certification preferred).
