The Forest at Duke
is an award-winning and vibrant not-for-profit Life Plan Community (LPC) located on a 47-acre campus in Durham, North Carolina, adjacent to Duke University and Duke Medical Center. Established in 1992, The Forest has had a close connection with Duke University since inception and continues its dedication to fostering purposeful, active, healthy and secure lifestyles for older adults today. Responsibilities The Forest is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the community. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this individual is responsible for the overall performance of The Forest and for providing strategic direction and leadership in achieving operational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (master’s highly preferred).
Minimum of ten years’ experience in a leadership position, with a minimum of five years’ experience in a Life Plan Community preferred.
Ability to build positive and professional relationships with residents, team members and board members, strong financial acumen, and futuristic thinking.
