Job Overview Hoxworth Blood Center, a regional blood center owned and operated by the University of Cincinnati, seeks a full‑time (100% FTE) Assistant Manager, Donor Experience. The role requires a motivated professional with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for both donors and employees. The chief responsibilities include overseeing software platforms that support donor recruitment, employee scheduling, and facilitating communication and collaboration among key stakeholders to enhance the overall donor experience.
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, quality assurance and improvement programs, collective bargaining agreements, state regulations, federal laws, and other applicable regulations.
Represent HBC in a positive manner and serve as a liaison with internal and external agents.
Serve on various university, division, and departmental committees, attend meetings and conferences, and may represent the department at community events to promote services.
Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non‑exempt staff (e.g., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approved time off).
Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description may be modified at any time.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business, Management, or related field.
Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training may be used in lieu of the education requirement.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of related experience.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Master of Business Administration (MBA) is ideal.
Experience with Invita Software platforms, including HemaConnect and HemaCollect, is ideal.
