Employee Benefits Producer

to join our growing team in

Houston, TX .

This role is responsible for promoting and executing the sale of new and renewal business, serving as a source of insurance expertise, and contributing to the growth and profitability of the department. The EB Producer will collaborate with teammates and work closely with Sales Leadership to meet customer needs.

How You Will Contribute

Support the Profit Center Leader and Sales Leader in developing marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Identify new business opportunities generating $10K+ in revenue, recommend appropriate products/services, and provide pre‑sales support.

Manage sales calls and maintain contact with prospects to drive interest.

Oversee client relationships and partner closely with the Service Team.

Participate in team sales efforts with other producers and support staff.

Prepare and implement an individual business plan and production budget.

Prospect for new accounts via calls, correspondence, visits, and other outreach methods.

Fully utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM for all sales activity.

Conduct annual customer stewardship meetings, including experience and policy reviews.

Establish direct contact with key accounts and prospects.

Collaborate with Account Managers/Executives and Marketing Coordinators on new/renewal business.

Analyze, negotiate, and recommend coverage based on customer needs.

Maintain and grow specialization in target market through networking and professional development.

Stay informed on market trends, product offerings, and evolving customer needs.

Assist in training or mentoring new Producers as directed by leadership.

Meet all Brown & Brown quality control procedures and timelines.

Represent Brown & Brown in social, civic, and trade organizations.

Licenses & Certifications

Life & Health Insurance License (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held).

Skills & Experience For Success

Insurance industry experience with a focus on Employee Benefits preferred.

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with operating systems supporting insurance sales and service.

Ability to travel regularly; must maintain acceptable driving record and insurance coverage.
