The Event Marketing Manager will own the full lifecycle of events in support of the companys brand, demand generation, and customer / partner engagement goals. You will plan, execute, and optimize events of various types proprietary, partner-led, and third-party across formats including tradeshows, seminars, roundtables, executive / VIP experiences, virtual, hybrid, and in-person. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, partners, and marketing to elevate brand presence, generate pipeline, and deliver excellent attendee experiences before, during, and after each event. Key Responsibilities
Own the strategy and execution of high-impact events end-to-end, ensuring every pre-, during-, and post-event activity is completed effectively through hands-on execution or delegation to an extended virtual team, to ensure flawless delivery and measurable impact. Pre-Event (Planning & Strategy): Develop event strategy aligned with marketing, demand gen, and sales goals. Recommend events based on ROI, audience, messaging, and competitive landscape. Define objectives and success metrics (e.g., brand awareness, MQLs/SQLs/pipeline, customer engagement, thought leadership). Build the event plan slides and communicate plans to the virtual team, peers, and executives. Manage project plans with milestones, tasks, owners, and delivery dates; surface roadblocks as needed. Budget planning: create and manage event budgets, ensure cost control, negotiate with vendors, monitor spend vs. budget, reconcile, and report. Vendor & partner management: select venues, booths, vendors, production partners; coordinate logistics for booth design, signage, shipping, A/V, and catering. Stakeholder alignment: collaborate with sales, product, partners, executives, field marketing, brand, corporate marketing, PR/AR, finance, and legal to set messaging and attendee targets. Pre-event marketing & promotion: coordinate landing pages, registration, email campaigns, social media, outreach, content development, and paid media campaigns. Executive / VIP management: coordinate executive involvement, prep speakers, manage agendas, and engage customers/partners in higher-touch formats. Partner management: work with partner marketing to secure strategic partners and opportunities for cross-promotions, co-sponsorships, joint sessions, and shared booth experiences. During Event (Execution & Experience)
Oversee on-site operations: booth setup, signage, staffing, logistics, and real-time issue resolution. Ensure brand consistency: materials, visuals, messaging, experience flow, and technical support. Manage attendee experience: lead registration, orientation, networking activations, partner booths, and auxiliary events. Capture content and data: record sessions, capture video/photos, collect leads and feedback, and manage lead retrieval systems. Liaise with stakeholders & vendors to ensure seamless execution. Ensure onsite promotions are executed (social media, EMOs, cross-promotions with partners, SDR cadences, etc.). Provide ongoing updates on event progress, including daily recaps and on-site meetings for improvement. Post-Event (Follow-up & Optimization)
Lead follow-up strategy: plan lead handoff to sales, nurture campaigns, on-demand content, and post-event email campaigns integrated with wider marketing programs. Analyze event performance: track KPIs (pipeline, revenue, ROI, attendance, engagement, cost per lead), compare to targets, and report to stakeholders with daily snapshots and periodic recaps. Capture learnings: debrief on what worked, process improvements, cost savings, vendor evaluations, and staff/partner feedback. Repurpose content: webinars, blog posts, social content, and videos from events. Maintain event roadmap: plan upcoming events, ensure alignment to strategic goals and budget, and sign off on the following years events with pre-approved budget. Other Responsibilities
Strategic / Cross-Functional Duties: assess whether events contribute to pipeline and revenue goals; use data to inform decisions. Ensure consistency of brand messaging across events and channels. Develop reusable frameworks, templates, playbooks, checklists, and tools to drive efficiency and quality; share learnings with other event managers. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (sales, product, partners, marketing, customer success) and external partners (vendors, sponsors). Stay current with industry trends in events (virtual, hybrid, experiential activations) and recommend innovations. Use creativity to elevate events each year. Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years in event marketing / event planning, preferably in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity, including executing large-scale trade shows and partner events. Demonstrated ability to manage events end-to-end (pre, during, post). Strong project management: juggle multiple events, prioritize, meet deadlines. Excellent stakeholder management and communication; comfortable working cross-functionally. Strategic and tactical capabilities: define event ROI and manage details and execution. Budget management experience; vendor negotiation. Data-driven mindset: define, track, and report KPIs; use data to optimize. Experience with event management tools. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future. Preferred
Experience in cybersecurity or a technical domain. Experience with executive / VIP / white-glove events. Experience with partner-led and channel events. Ability to travel as needed (often 2040% depending on event load and location). Hands-on skills with event tools (lead retrieval, registration systems, marketing automation, CRM) and familiarity with content creation, booth design, signage, etc. EOE M/F/Veterans/Disabled The wage range for this position considers a variety of factors including location, experience, certifications, and business needs. A reasonable base wage estimate is $82,000-$144,000. Some roles are eligible for additional compensation (annual bonus or sales incentive) based on performance.
