Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - JLL
What this job involves
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. Responsibilities
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 lbs, stand, walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Travel up to 20% of the time. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays. 2+ years of experience in repairing material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Preferred Qualifications
Associates or higher degree in a Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 1+ year blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with MHE safety standards, including OEM and safety standards. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation). Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces. Location
