Temporary Information Technology Assistant
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Information Technology Division is seeking a Temporary Information Technology Assistant for a 12-month term in its Cybersecurity Unit, with a primary focus on documentation, compliance, and project coordination. Responsibilities Technical Writing and Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation such as strategic plans, disaster recovery materials, standard operating procedures, and policy and procedure manuals. Data Protection and Compliance: Assist in maintaining data loss prevention (DLP) configurations and sensitivity labels, and support efforts to align DLP policies with frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and CJIS. Employee Education and Awareness: Contribute to cybersecurity awareness efforts by helping develop and update training materials and courses that promote safe technology practices for staff. Project Management and Coordination: Support day-to-day project tracking, follow up on action items, and assist in maintaining task lists and progress reports to ensure timely completion of assignments. IT Support and Administration: provide user support for tasks like account creation, password changes, and directory updates; assist staff with general IT requests as needed.
Qualifications
Either relevant experience in information technology or be actively pursuing a degree in the field. Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to create and edit technical documentation clearly and accurately. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to follow through on multiple tasks. Attention to detail and a collaborative approach to working with both technical and non-technical staff. The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a professional environment. A valid drivers license in good standing and the ability to pass a background check.
Successful candidates will receive
$16.35 per hour
