The Relationship Manager ("RM") will handle multi‑faceted relationships with prospective and existing clients to generate loans, deposits and fees for a geographic area. The RM will determine credit eligibility, prepare loan narratives, and cross‑sell a wide variety of products. Responsibilities include marketing products and services, making sales calls, and monitoring profitability on all assigned relationships.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Develop new and expand existing client relationships by initiating business development activities and cross‑selling products and services.

Grow and maintain a profitable book of business (loans and deposits) to achieve individual and market goals.

Qualify prospects by collecting and analyzing financial data to determine credit worthiness.

Prepare and oversee completion of loan approval requirements, ensuring underwriting meets borrower and bank needs.

Recommend and negotiate terms, including pricing, fees, costs, repayment schedule, collateral, etc.

Monitor credit quality of the active portfolio, including past‑due credit, non‑performing loans, covenant compliance and credit exceptions.

Represent First Financial Bank at community, civic and professional organizations.

Collaborate with Bankers, Credit/Underwriting, Loan Processing and senior management.

Participate in marketing and sales promotions and comply with all bank, loan and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree.

Ten (10) years of proven relationship/account management experience selling banking products.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Experience generating new business through a consultative sales approach.

Demonstrated sales and negotiating experience.

Strong product knowledge.

Credit training, credit quality and underwriting experience; including financial analysis.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Experience working in Capital Markets and/or the Middle Market space ($75MM+).

Experience in Structured Finance, Asset Based Lending (ABL), ESOP, and/or leading syndicated transactions.
