Job Description
Follow prescribed procedures, performing any of the tests within laboratory specialties, calculating the results as necessary
Operate, calibrate, conduct performance checks, and maintain laboratory analyzers or equipment
Recognise and correct basic analyser malfunctions; notify management personnel when appropriate
Prepare reagents or media from a prescribed procedure
Evaluate media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteria
Conduct established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluate results and implement corrective action when indicated
Review and follow Standard Operating Procedures
Support Eurofins DPT’s business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics
Meet basic expectations of Eurofins DPT’s quality management system, including good workmanship, adherence to SOPs, training, good documentation practices, accurate record‑keeping
Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
If required by the State in which the laboratory is located, the appropriate State License to perform clinical laboratory testing
In California, licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist
In Georgia, must successfully complete a certification examination from ASCP, AMT, NCA, or AAB
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
No previous experience in Transplant Testing
Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology
Knowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology as related to medical technology
Some knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technology
Ability to perform assigned tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of test results
Skill in the use of medical laboratory equipment
Strong organisational and planning skills and strong attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs including accurate keyboarding skills
Internal and External Customer Centric Skills
