About The Role Truework, recently acquired by Checkr, provides crucial employment, income, and asset information needed for mortgage loans, apartment rentals, and background checks. We are disrupting a $5B+ industry dominated by legacy incumbents and outdated processes. Within Checkr, Truework operates independently, allowing rapid iteration while leveraging the strengths of our core business.
As a Director, National Sales Manager - Mortgage, you will be directly responsible for managing a team of elite sales professionals focused on penetrating the mortgage lending market. This role will be a critical enabler to scaling our impact across the largest lenders in the country and will be the conduit for achieving our growth targets.
What You’ll Do
Drive New Revenue Growth
Build processes and cadences to support ongoing pipeline development and whitespace penetration for both new logo and expansion motions
Lead a sustainable revenue strategy that consistently meets targets
Advocate and drive accountability to supporting functions like marketing, partner, customer success, and revenue operations to ensure the team has the resourcing needed to deliver against targets
Operational Excellence
Optimize day‑to‑day sales activities to maximize revenue conversion
Lead annual strategy planning and sales, including account segmentation, territory assignment, financial targets, quotas, compensation plans, organizational design, and capacity modeling
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize commercial opportunities and identify areas of improvement
Drive Team Member Success
Lead a team of experienced and successful sellers
Recruit, inspire, lead, mentor, and motivate the sales organization to capitalize on market opportunities
Model company values and set/ review KPIs aligned with targets and incentive plans; conduct quarterly check‑ins
What You Bring
15+ years of full‑cycle sales or sales leadership experience, selling technology solutions to institutions in the financial services industry
Exceptional sales instincts and the ability to fine‑tune a sales engine for predictability, linearity, and high performance
Proven success in bringing in new business and optimising existing opportunities
Excellent people‑leadership skills to influence and drive accountability
Strong internal network and support, with the ability to navigate and 'get things done'
Strong understanding of using data to make informed decisions related to sales and business performance
Experience closing new business accounts and/or managing existing accounts with large global/multi‑national customers, with complex organisational structures
Experience selling to C‑suite, EVPs, CXOs, and end‑users in both individual and team sales environments
General knowledge of common sales practices such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, Power Selling, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to simplify complex topics in a friendly and approachable manner, presenting executive‑level business cases

On‑target Earnings OR Base Salary range (San Francisco, CA): $360,000—$423,000 USD
On‑target Earnings OR Base Salary range (Denver, CO): $264,000—$311,000 USD
At Checkr, a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and encourages connection. Our hub locations are Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; and Santiago, Chile. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week. Starting January 2026, hub‑based employees will be expected to work from the office 3 days per week. In‑office perks are provided, such as lunch four times a week, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages.
