Robot.com is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. We are revolutionizing the delivery service industry with a cutting-edge robot platform and are looking for a detail-oriented professional to support financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance for a public company.
Overview Position: Senior Accountant. Reports to the Accounting Manager. You will manage daily accounting operations, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. Solid understanding of US GAAP and public company reporting requirements is required.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Accounting: assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations for a public company; ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly financials (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis); assist with preparation and filing of public company reports (10-Q, 10-K, other SEC filings); ensure accurate recording of transactions and compliance with accounting policies; perform balance sheet reconciliations for cash, fixed assets, accruals.
Internal Controls & Compliance: maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure SOX compliance; assist with internal and external audits and address audit queries; document and test internal control processes to meet SOX; prepare audit schedules and related reports for external auditors.
Financial Analysis & Support: assist in preparation and analysis of financial reports, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management; coordinate with cross-functional teams to align financial performance with budget and highlight risks or opportunities; support monthly forecasting and variance analysis.
Transaction Support & Special Projects: support the accounting team during acquisitions, investments, or other significant transactions; assist with implementing new accounting policies and procedures; collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and Tax to provide accounting support for various functions.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus).
Experience:
3-5 years in public or corporate accounting with focus on financial reporting; experience in a public company with knowledge of SEC reporting and SOX compliance is strongly preferred; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite); strong US GAAP knowledge for public companies.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration; ability to analyze complex accounting issues and provide actionable recommendations.
