Job Description
Work from home must live in Eastern or Central time zones.
This position supports employees in both Canada and the US. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of Canadian employment laws and have direct experience supporting employees in Canada.
The Employee Relations Partner provides consistent, tactical Employee Relations consultation to Managers and Employees to resolve employee issues and advise on employee conflict resolution, disciplinary action and/or termination. They conduct Human Resources investigations to ensure that employee issues are resolved in adherence to company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations. They provide recommendations to Operations Management and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and analyze data to monitor employee relations trends to aid Operations Management in addressing trends proactively. This role provides guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures to minimize the company's legal liability.
Essential Functions
Conduct and participate in all phases of local HR investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations. Oversee daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex case management systems.
Manage employee relations matters by providing supervisors and managers with policy interpretation regarding conflict resolutions, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
Partner with Operational Management/Business HR/Labor Relations/Legal Teams to create solutions to complex Employee Relations situations.
Ensure delivery of high-quality Human Resources support for the company through performance management, mitigating risk in legal compliance, administration of relevant clauses/provisions within union collective bargaining agreements (as applicable), employee communication, and collaboration with COEs.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within region.
Travel as needed to company sites within supported region.

Ability to conduct sensitive investigations and identify violations of federal, state and local regulations and company policies.
Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to remain impartial during investigations.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to upskill and train on technology and functional aspects of case management systems.
Flexibility to operate and self‑driven to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
Capable of multi‑tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Law or equivalent major; or additional four (4) years of required experience.
Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist or employee relations.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (intermediate).
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (intermediate).
Travel 0‑10%

Maximum Pay Range: $90,000.00
