Standard Business Hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

Compensation:

$55.00 – $57.00/hr

System One is actively recruiting for a Benefits Specialist to support large-scale benefits initiatives within a collaborative and data-driven HR environment. This long-term contract role offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to contribute to major projects focused on benefits analytics, plan strategy, and data validation.

The Benefits Specialist will assist in the administration and improvement of benefits programs while supporting analytics, reporting, and compliance efforts. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage benefits data and reporting for a large employee base.

Responsibilities

Support ongoing benefits projects, including plan transitions and strategy initiatives.

Conduct data analysis, reporting, and validation of employee benefits information.

Assist with documentation, project meeting notes, and ad hoc reporting requests.

Cross-train on key processes such as funding and benefits plan administration.

Collaborate with actuaries, vendors, and internal HR team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Pull and analyze data from HR systems and Excel, producing accurate reports for leadership.

Support vendor communications, benefit renewals, and project deliverables.

Requirements

5–7 years of experience in Benefits Administration, Benefits Analysis, or HR-related roles.

Experience supporting large employer health plans (5,000+ employees).

Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, concatenate, data organization, analytics).

Experience with data analysis, reporting, and audit support.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and written/verbal communication skills.

Independent work ethic with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience prioritized).

Familiarity with Workday (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

Union experience or exposure to collective bargaining agreements.

CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) certification is a strong plus.

Experience working in corporate benefits or HR data analytics environments.
