SAP NS2 Sybase DBA - TS/SCI Poly Required

The DBA will monitor and refresh data, perform installation and testing of new releases, patches, etc. Responsibilities include: Maintain responsibility for analysis of Sybase and SQL code. Tune queries, write Stored Procedures, perform indexing, and other database elements. Database design, coding, testing, debugging, and installing. Follow software development methodologies. Working through business requirements and designs with IT partners. Review and enhance existing Sybase/SQL code to improve performance. Interface with partners to determine impacts of software changes. Confer with development staff, PM's, regarding task definitions and schedules involving database(s). Plan/design database changes related to data conversion, tool configuration. Plan data refresh, migration, other initiatives related to large application development projects. Troubleshoot and resolve production problems involving databases. Required Experience and Skills: 6 years of Sybase development experience with a strong command of SQL. Experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc. Experience with data and batch loading processes. Strong Data Modeling and Database design skills. Experience with Data warehouses and transactional databases. Proficiency with optimization techniques. Thorough understanding of software development life cycle. Experience administering a large enterprise database environment. Proficiency in design, administration, implementation, upgrades, monitoring, and database. Proficiency in database tuning to ensure that applications run efficiently and reliably. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently. Education Requirements: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Professional certification(s) desired. Compensation Range Transparency: SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 107300 - 230600 USD USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
