Senior Data Architect

The Senior Data Architect works in all data environments which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. The Senior Data Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and leverage the latest technologies to transform complex data into actionable insights for critical financial decision-making. You'll be at the forefront of our AI/ML initiatives, helping to define the data strategy and architecture for next-generation finance platforms. The Senior Data Architect responsible for developing blueprints for all data repositories, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. Translates business needs into long-term data architecture solutions. Defines, designs and builds dimensional database schemas. Evaluates reusability of current data for separate analyses. Conducts data sheering to rid the system of old, unused or duplicate data. Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Design and implement enterprise-grade data architectures using Delta Lakehouse, Star Schema, and Data Lake patterns. Define and enforce data modeling standards, metadata management, and data governance policies. Architect and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks Workflows, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools. Lead the integration of AI/ML models into data pipelines and ensure scalable deployment. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability across all data platforms. Optimize performance and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines and integration flows. Drive CI/CD practices for data infrastructure, including version control (Git), automated testing, and deployment. Provide architectural guidance for Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field 5+ years' Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a senior data engineering role with architectural responsibilities. Minimum 3+ years working experience in Oracle ERP Cloud technical mainly in financial modules like (Oracle Projects, GL, AHCS, AR, HCM, FA, AP) Experience in building reports in Oracle Fusion using OTBI, Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI and Data model's Experience in FDI/FAW 3 years' experience in Big Data Integration & Analytics Strong, in-depth knowledge of Delta Lake, Databricks, Apache Airflow, Snowflake and cloud platforms (Azure or GCP). Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and lake house architectures. 3+ years' experience with AI/ML workflows and integration into data platforms. Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control. Preferred Qualifications: GCP certification Oracle Cloud Certifications related to OIC/ERP Work-At-Home Requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $106,900 - $147,000 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
