Job Title: HR Generalist (Contract to Permanent)
Location: Martinez CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: $28-$33/hr.
About Us:
We are seeking a talented and motivated HR Generalist to join our team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This is a unique opportunity to lead HR efforts as a one-person HR department, playing a critical role in supporting our staff and organizational growth.
Role Overview:
As our HR Generalist, you will manage the full cycle of HR responsibilities, providing hands-on support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and more. You will be the go-to HR resource for our team and help foster a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offers
Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs
Administer employee benefits, leave management, and payroll coordination
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Handle employee relations issues with discretion, providing guidance and conflict resolution
Support performance management processes and coordinate training and development initiatives
Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
Serve as the primary HR contact for staff inquiries and support organizational needs
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role, preferably in nonprofit or educational settings
Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
