About the Role
We are seeking a skilled HVAC/R Service Technician to join the team. This role involves providing both preventive maintenance and responsive repair services for commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The technician will work across a diverse portfolio of facilities, including schools, universities, office buildings, hospitals, and manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including RTUs, AHUs, VRF, VAV, and chillers
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and improve system performance
- Troubleshoot and repair air‑cooled, water‑cooled, centrifugal, and screw chillers
- Work with refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging in compliance with EPA guidelines
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to diagnose faults and recommend solutions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to report service outcomes and recommend further actions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent via digital work order systems
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures on all job sites
- Stay up to date with product training and emerging HVAC/R technologies
Key Qualifications
- Associate degree in HVAC/R technology or related technical discipline
- EPA 608 Certification (Universal) required
- 5+ years of experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Strong hands‑on experience with air‑cooled, centrifugal, and screw chillers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused mindset
