Job Title: Experienced Accounting Associate

Location: Century City (Hybrid)
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounts payable and bookkeeping, with a keen ability to manage financial documentation and support our accounting functions. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, approval, and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and assist with bookkeeping tasks.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts as needed.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements and trial balances.
- Support preparing annual compliance reports, such as 1099s and other applicable tax documents.
- Monitor and maintain financial accounts, ensuring compliance and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting systems and procedures.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from vendors and clients regarding financial transactions and accounts.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents and adherence to legal and company policies.
- Support monthly payroll and maintain organized records.
- Record and reconcile bank statements.
- Provide administrative assistance to the finance department.
- Undertake general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence related to financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 2+ years in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in the high-net-worth and family office space.
- Experience with data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and tax compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Experience in public accounting is a plus.
$60,000 - $80,000 a year
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $60,000 - $80,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
