Enterprise Security and Fraud
(ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. This Hybrid (in-office Tues/Wed/Thurs) role can be based in Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, or Malvern, PA (HQ). In this role you will: Build & maintain a high-performing Cloud Security Assurance team. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members. Assess performance and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with HR policies and procedures. Lead the team that leverages cloud security assessment tools (CNAPP/CSPM) to monitor Vanguard cloud assets for vulnerabilities and security configuration weaknesses. Partner with the SOC, Cyber Threat Intel, Offensive Security Team, and other stakeholders to refine prioritization, validate impact of suspected vulnerabilities, advise owners on mitigation strategies or controls, and provide accurate & timely reporting to inform remediation. Ensure timely resolution of false-positives investigations, requests for risk-acceptance or risk-rating adjustments of cloud security findings. Coordinate implementation of cloud security controls both off-the-shelf and custom ensuring compliance with industry standards. Shape remediation SLAs, build-breaking policies, and other enforcement controls & guardrails. Develop metrics, KPIs, and OKRs to measure the programs and teams effectiveness. Coordinate with Engineering platform team to tune scanning tools to improve visibility and meet security objectives. Lead continuous process improvement, identifying opportunities for automation, integration of security findings, and consistency in remediation processes. Provide expertise on emerging security practices and standards. What it takes: Minimum of 5 years related experience, including cloud security engineering, vulnerability management, or related domains. Undergraduate degree or equivalent training and experience. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a solid understanding of cloud security principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Ways to stand out: Passion for continuous learning. Experience leading process improvements. Experience with Aqua, Palo Alto Prisma, Wiz, CrowdStrike, Tenable Nessus, or Qualys. Knowledge of Kubernetes. Experience with aggregators like Brinqa, Kenna, Vulcan, Dazz, or Avalor. Experience with risk controls and audits. Familiarity with emerging security trends, especially in cloud security. Seniority level
