Sr. QA Engineer: Charlotte, NC or Kansas City, MO : Onsite (Only on W2)

Position: Sr. QA Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC or Kansas City, MO Duration: 6+Months with possible extensions Key skills: Ideally Mix Of Manual + automation, with Playwright (.Net) or similar automation tools. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web-based applications. Perform UI testing to validate layout, responsiveness, and user interactions across browsers and devices. Conduct manual and exploratory testing to identify usability issues and edge cases. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements and define test strategies. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for functional and regression testing. Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure using tools like Azure DevOps or similar. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks. Required Qualifications: 6–8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on UI and automation testing. Hands-on experience with Playwright (.Net) or similar automation tools. Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and browser behavior. Experience with test management tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps). Familiarity with user-centric testing and accessibility standards is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field Preferred Skills: Experience testing responsive and mobile-first designs. Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured. Exposure to performance testing tools is a bonus. ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus. Prior Re-insurance domain experience. Experience with using GenAI in day-to-day activities
