Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Monitor donor and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.
Occupational Demands
Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms. PPE is required. Work involves standing for 6 to 8 hours per day, bending and twisting, frequent hand and finger movements, lifting up to 50 lbs, and other physical tasks as described in the role. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and work under guidance of oral or written instructions.
