Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and enhance financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement activities to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Develop and implement organizational procedures for office staff, including training on filing systems, payroll processes, and accounting practices.
- Process and reconcile invoices, bills, and vendor payments in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate and manage month-end closing activities, including reconciling financial records and preparing reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by submitting payments and maintaining accurate documentation for sales and use taxes.
- Partner with various departments, including HR, Payroll, and Procurement, to address financial matters such as insurance, occupational taxes, and vendor billing.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrual balances.
- Maintain and update financial records, including preparing documentation for audits and archiving previous years' records.
- Prepare and distribute reimbursement checks and address employee expense-related inquiries as needed.
- Lead efforts to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial processes, fostering collaboration among team members
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is a must.
