- Lead the evaluation and implementation of technical accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
- Prepare and review technical memos and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the accounting impact of business transactions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters for internal teams.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and their implications for the organization.
- A strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- MUST have prior experience working in technical accounting for a Big 4 public accounting firm.
- Expertise in technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition and lease accounting.
- Proven ability to analyze and document complex accounting matters effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to work with internal teams and external auditors.
- A CPA qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience in the energy & natural resources industry is a plus.
- Competitive base salary estimated between $180-220k
