New insulator technology that enables higher frequency data transmission at lower power consumption is required to scale AI infrastructure, starting with the data center fabric. Job Title
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process transfer and scale‑up of coating operations from lab to pilot and high‑volume manufacturing.
- Design and optimize coating parameters to ensure consistency, yield, and throughput.
- Specify, qualify, and maintain coating tools and related equipment.
- Develop process documentation, control plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, product development, and equipment vendors to ensure manufacturability and quality.
- Implement data‑driven process control and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DOE, SPC, FMEA).
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues in real time and drive root cause analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline + 8 years of industry experience (or Ph.D. + 4 years of industry experience).
- Extensive hands‑on experience with wet coating techniques (e.g., slot die).
- Proven track record scaling processes from lab/pilot to production environments.
- Hands‑on experience with equipment setup, process optimization, and yield improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
- Familiarity with industrial automation, cleanroom environments, or precision coating systems.
- Rigorous attention to detail with experimental design, execution, and record‑keeping.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience in raw material processing (powder wetting/dispersion, mixing, milling).
- Experience in filtration of viscous and/or highly filled material systems.
- Experience processing composite materials.
