Clinical Details
- General gastroenterology services including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, and liver
- Services include pillcam capsule endoscopy, screening exams, ultrasounds (EUS), CT colonography, flexible sigmoidoscopy, double-contrast barium enema, FIT, gFOBT, stool DNA test, ERCP, endoscopy, and colonoscopy
- Trauma Level: III
- EMR: EPIC
- GI Physician will be responsible for placing orders that they will be recommending
- Inpatient coverage, 100% hospital based
- No clinic; outpatient scoping depending on need
- Support Staff: 3 NPs
- 100% Adult patients
- Average Patients per Day: Hospital: 10
- Average Surgeries per Day: 20 (approximate)
- Trauma: 0-1, Elective: 0-1, Inpatient Scopes: 5
- All Inpatient, none are OP scopes
- Any inpatient request for anesthesia will fall into when an anesthesiologist is available, just like any add on surgery case
Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (5-yr from training)
- Experience: More than 2 years
- Certifications: ACLS-AHA issued, BLS-AHA issued
- ACLS required if performing conscious sedation
- Flu Vaccine: Required or need medical or religious exemption
- COVID Vaccine: Required or need medical or religious exemption
- Active IN State License or IMLC
- Patient Contacts/Procedure Logs: require most recent 24-months
- Must be available to cover listed dates
