The Director of Account Executives (SMB) is responsible for leading a team of Account Executives and maximizing sales opportunities. The role focuses on ensuring the team meets or exceeds monthly quotas by targeting new business and reactivating dark (lapsed) customer accounts. The director will drive best-in-class sales techniques to achieve revenue goals monthly, quarterly, and annually. Responsibilities: Manage and coach a team of 12-15 Account Executives to build a high-performing sales organization Monitor performance metrics for the assigned territory Maintain an accurate pipeline and conduct weekly pipeline reviews to ensure forecast accuracy and goal achievement Support deal closure by assisting with objections, reactivations, coaching plans, and skill development Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management Prioritize workload and direct the activities of Account Executives Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to monitor KPIs, identify improvement areas, and provide actionable coaching Drive adoption of AI-powered sales technologies to optimize productivity and data-driven decision making Champion sales-methodology innovation by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and automate tasks Be an expert in closing, negotiating, prospecting, and other techniques to consistently achieve quota Handle day-to-day needs of the sales team Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year in sales management experience and 3+ years in a closing sales role in IT, SaaS, or cybersecurity Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field strongly preferred Experience using advanced sales tools such as SalesLoft, Gong, Marketo, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, or other AI/automation platforms Proficient understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.) Leadership skills including dynamic coaching and mentorship, and building a high-impact, mission-driven team Proven track record of sales success in a similar SaaS environment, with mastery of closing techniques, discovery questions, prospecting, and rapport-building Strong verbal and written communications We offer company-wide bonuses based on monthly sales targets, employee referral bonuses, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, certification reimbursement, and certification completion bonuses.
