Brand & Marketing Strategist (Adventure Travel Industry)
Remote (preference for candidates based in CO, MT, or similar regions)
$65,000–$75,000 base + performance bonus
About the Role We’re a passionate team of explorers, storytellers, and creatives dedicated to crafting authentic, experience-driven travel around the world. We’re seeking a Marketing Strategist who can blend strategy with creativity, someone ready to elevate our brand identity, align messaging across all channels, and inspire travelers through compelling storytelling.
This is a hands-on, strategic role ideal for a marketing professional eager to take ownership of brand direction, campaign performance, and creative strategy. The right person will have a clear path to grow into a Marketing Director position.
What You’ll Do Brand & Creative Leadership
Define and maintain a cohesive brand identity across digital and print channels.
Lead the creative direction of campaigns, visuals, and messaging to ensure alignment across teams.
Bring a sharp visual eye and ensure all marketing materials reflect a unified brand voice.
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns
Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies across SEO, paid search, social media, email, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
Oversee campaign analytics and performance metrics to drive lead generation and ROI.
Collaborate with internal teams to refine messaging, improve conversion, and strengthen lead quality.
Media Relations & PR
Take ownership of press and media relations, including story pitches, press releases, and media kits.
Plan press trips and influencer partnerships that build awareness and credibility.
Track media impact and report on earned-media performance.
Team Development & Collaboration
Work closely with the Content Manager and creative team (SEO, social, design, video, and email marketing) to bring cohesion and clarity to workflows.
Mentor and guide team members on brand storytelling, analytics, and cross-channel strategy.
Introduce systems and processes that foster efficiency, alignment, and creativity.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years
in marketing, communications, or brand strategy (preferably in travel, lifestyle, or experiential industries).
A
strategic thinker
who understands how analytics guide marketing investment and decision-making.
Strong grasp of
multi-channel marketing
(SEO, social, email, content, and paid media).
Proficient in
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign)
with a strong visual sensibility.
Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable strategy ,
budgeting and ROI tracking experience a plus.
Passion for adventure, exploration, and cultural connection.
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Working knowledge of
Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, Meta Ads , or similar platforms.
Experience with project-management tools like
Asana, Monday.com, or Airtable .
Background with brands like REI, Mountain Hardwear, or other outdoor/lifestyle organizations.
