Help Responsible for providing Lead System Administration support for a large-scale mainframe payroll system. Performs staff assignments related to IT project planning, monitoring, and/or coordinating systems life cycle functions. Maintains system documentation to improve and maintain audit posture for large scale mainframe payroll system. Provide support in areas of the IBM z/OS mainframe operating system software with responsibility for maintaining, testing and debugging segments. Serves as a technical expert of several specialized IBM mainframe software packages, including CA View, Strobe, AbendAid, ACF2, and CA-1 TMS. Provide on-call support to nightly batch mainframe processing cycles for a payroll system. Analyzes system problems (abends) and issues system recovery and/or restart JCL as warranted by the situation. Updates Supervisor on staff work activities and elevates any possible issues to Supervisor. Regularly briefs Supervisor on project status and significant developments. Conditions of employment

Evaluating and customizing software and systems through analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance; conducting systems requirement reviews; providing systems support in a mainframe environment; monitoring and resolving mainframe production errors; planning and coordinating major mainframe OS upgrades.
