Responsibilities
The Audiologist is responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests that allow the differentiation between types of hearing disorders for pediatric and adult patients
The Audiologist will provide hearing aid testing, selection and fitting to all populations
The Audiologist will counsel patients regarding test results and reviews options which best meet their hearing care needs
Interpret the results of hearing evaluation data within the context of the patient's perceptual, social and communicative needs
Reviews pricing and sale hearing aids as a part of the patient education process
Provides amplification services including hearing aid assessment testing
Coordinates care with physician and other providers
Makes recommendation(s) regarding hearing care options
Provides hearing aid dispensing, including selection, fitting, ear-mold acoustics, ongoing, ongoing management with follow-up and education
Develop a rational treatment and monitoring plan with the patient and/or caregivers, including the use of amplification, assistive listening devises, aural rehabilitation, and counseling as indicated.

Requirements
Masters or AuD Degree in Audiology
Current NC License or the ability to obtain a NC license
Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a divers customer, colleague, and vendor population
Strong audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software, and equipment experience
Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties
Requires the ability to handle numerous interruptions
Must provide customers care in a kind, professional and ethical manner
Must be detail oriented
Understands the otologic and neurological diagnostic processes enough to obtain audiological information that will be used to help the physician distinguish between competing etiological entities in a given patient
Possesses a strong clinical interest and maintain versatility, creativity and adaptability
