About the job As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and presenting financial information for the local company. You will have the opportunity to support areas such as Factory Controlling, Sales Controlling, Cost Center Controlling, or Project Controlling, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is an On-site opportunity located in Newburyport, MA. Responsibilities
As a part of the team, you will: Financial and Reporting Related Responsibilities Ensure local compliance with Alfa Laval Group Finance policies. Provide local ERP software support for processes including order entry, invoicing, job costing, inventory control, production purchasing, and production control. Ensure data and system integrity in ERP and related Alfa Laval specific software. Implement product costing and factory accounting routines for new equipment orders and shop orders in accordance with Alfa Laval requirements. Lead the annual budgeting processes to establish labor and overhead rates for the factory. Create and Maintain Standard Costs of purchased materials and finished goods. Maintain A/R account information. Create Monthly Journal Entries for closing and generate and distribute Weekly/Monthly Internal Reports Perform Account Reconciliations and Analysis for the Contherm Product Center activities. Present financial and KPI information to Product Group and Business Unit colleagues for decision-making purposes. Monitor and track shop order variance report. General monitoring of order entry, shop orders and inventory for errors. Inventory Management Coordinate/Supervise/Reconcile annual physical inventory. Oversight of Cycle count process and verification. Other, Non-Primary Responsibilities Process RMA’s and other credits Understanding of ERP and ability to trouble-shoot situations What you know
You have a bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, Accounting, or a related field with relevant experience, and: Minimum 5 years of professional experience related to accounting, finance, sales or a related field. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance a plus ). Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate financial insights effectively. What’s in it for you?
