If you are a multimedia journalist who is energized by a fast?paced news environment, keep reading! Atlanta News First is looking for an experienced, hungry MMJ who is resourceful and competitive. This position is perfect for an independent MMJ who can find and tell a great enterprise story and also pivot to breaking news coverage when needed. Responsibilities Create compelling content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms daily Cover breaking/spot news aggressively and effectively Develop a strong network of sources in the community Seek out diverse perspectives and include those voices in stories Drive to/from stories; shoot video, write broadcast scripts, and edit stories (VO, VOSOT, PKG) under tight deadlines Produce digital stories independently or with a digital producer Present stories live in the field and the studio as needed
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in broadcast journalism or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience At least three years working as a multimedia journalist; medium to large market experience preferred Outstanding broadcast writing, interpersonal, and time management skills Proficiency with AP Style and social media platforms Ability to produce well?written, visually compelling stories under tight deadlines Strong news judgment Must provide link to samples of recent work
