Materials Designer – Apparel We’re looking for a trend-savvy and culturally tuned Materials Designer with a deep passion for textiles, fabrics, and leather who thrives at the intersection of creativity and craft. The ideal candidate blends strong storytelling, consumer intuition, and technical expertise to bring lifestyle and skateboarding apparel concepts to life. This role calls for a highly collaborative, visually driven designer who can translate culture and insight into elevated material narratives that define the brand. This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon. Lead material design and sourcing for lifestyle women’s, skateboarding, and select men’s apparel collections. Develop and curate fabrics, knits, textiles, and leathers that align with seasonal creative direction. Collaborate with design and category partners to deliver cohesive material stories and palettes. Translate cultural and consumer insights into compelling product narratives and executions. Present materials vision and concepts with strong visual storytelling and attention to detail. Materials Designer – Apparel Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Design, Art, or related field. 3–5 years of experience as a Senior Material Designer specializing in apparel, textiles, or leather. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities. Strong digital/CAD design skills and proficiency in holistic product design methods.
