Specification Sales Manager
You will take on a dual responsibility with a focus on:
International Specification Projects from NYC:
You will promote the Deltalight product range to architects, interior designers, and lighting designers within North America for international projects executed outside the United States.
Retail Key Accounts in North America:
You will manage retail projects located in North America that are specified by brands and designers based outside the US (mainly in Europe or other regions).
You will play a key role in expanding Deltalight’s brand presence in the U.S. market—especially in the New York City area—and act as a connector between specification and realization on a global scale.
Responsibilities
Develop a regional project strategy together with the PMD Director, including segmentation, focus, and budget targets.
Grow and strengthen the Deltalight brand among key decision-makers in the U.S., with a strong focus on the NYC design community.
Ensure profitable project margins and secure solid returns on every project.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with architects, designers, and other key stakeholders to successfully embed Deltalight in their international projects.
Follow up on the full project lifecycle, from concept design to full specification and execution.
Oversee quotations, negotiations, and closing deals with all involved parties (end client/investor, general contractor, electrical contractor, M&E consultants, etc.).
Collaborate with the PMD team to suggest or support the development of new products aligned with project needs and global/local design trends.
Maintain close alignment and collaboration with the local Area Sales Management team and the LAD team.
Actively contribute to the Deltalight PMD team culture, characterized by respect, team spirit, entrepreneurial energy, and proactivity.
Take responsibility for managing international key accounts based in the U.S.
Coordinate international project activities with Deltalight PMD or sales teams in the countries where the project is being specified.
Organize client visits to Deltalight HQ as part of the “Architectural Tour” program.
Profile
Proven experience in specification sales, ideally in the lighting, architecture, or design industry.
Strong familiarity with the design community and a well-developed professional network.
Commercially driven with an international mindset and ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
Based in New York City.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
