## ## Job Description:Position Description:Delivers automation, Continuous Integration (CI), and tests data ecosystems using Java, Karate, and Cucumber. Designs, develops, maintains, and executes automated tests. Develops software applications according to modern test and automation driven software development methodologies. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.Primary Responsibilities:* Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.* Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.* Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.* Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.* Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.* Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.* Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.* Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.* Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.* Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing, maintaining, and integrating automated test scripts with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to achieve defect free code in production.Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing, maintaining, and integrating automated test scripts with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to achieve defect free code in production.Skills and Knowledge:Candidate must also possess:* Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline practices using Jenkins; and maintaining scheduled jobs to build and confirm the application stability to create Jenkins reports, using test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright).* DE building and executing test automation scripts for front and back-end applications, service layers, and end-to-end programs using Java, Selenium, and TestNG framework; and performing service level, regression, and functional testing to assist with defect management, using Agile methodologies, REST assured framework, and root cause analysis.* DE participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) -- creating test strategies, plans, and coding standards, and performing code reviews and management in GIT to avoid conflict mergers —using Agile processes, best practices, and branching strategies.* DE creating and executing complex SQL queries to validate data in the backend as part of database testing; monitoring Splunk logs to triage errors; and performing Web Services testing using Postman and SOAP UI.#PE1M2#LI-DNI## ## Certifications:## ## Category:## Information TechnologyMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
