Job Summary The MRI Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist and in accordance with established departmental protocols. The technologist provides timely, high-quality imaging for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
Operate MRI equipment to perform a wide range of imaging studies (soft tissue, arterial system, brain, spine, joints, and extremities)
Adjust imaging parameters to ensure diagnostic-quality results
Administer contrast media as directed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety and comfort
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation per department and regulatory standards
Requirements
2–3 years of MRI experience required
ARRT (R) and (MR) certifications required
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Holds Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) registry through ARRT
Maintains an active State License as a general radiographer
