we’re seeking a Strong WordPress Developer for a long-term collaboration
involving custom plugin and theme development, complex system integrations, and contribution to open-source initiatives like BitPay. The project is set to begin on November 10th, 2025, and is designed as a long-term engagement with no defined end date. Build, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes Create dedicated Gutenberg blocks, templates, and patterns Integrate WordPress with external systems and APIs Optimize performance, security, and multisite configurations Design consistent, accessible, and responsive UI components Work on SaaS integrations and process automation (data synchronization, secure token handling) Develop across backend and frontend environments using React, Laravel, Angular, and Node.js Contribute to open-source projects (BitPay) - from reviewing code to preparing PRs and joining community discussions Ensure software quality and reliability through regular updates, tests (PHPUnit, Vitest/Jest), and continuous improvement Maintain clear technical documentation and collaborate effectively in repositories and task management tools If you have…
Solid experience in WordPress engineering (custom plugins, themes, Gutenberg) Proficiency with PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, React, Angular, Node.js Strong understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Eloquent ORM, Doctrine Experience with OAuth2, Webhooks, AWS Lambda, Docker Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, and CI/CD practices Attention to code quality (PHPStan, PHPCS, JS Linters) and testing (PHPUnit, Vitest/Jest) Knowledge of frontend tools like Tailwind, SCSS, and Google Tag Manager Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a distributed environment English at least at a B2 level …then you might be a perfect fit!
