We are seeking an experienced
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
to perform a variety of laboratory procedures to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities
Execute pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory procedures on biological specimens. Perform and maintain competence in specimen collection, processing, quality control, and quality assurance. Conduct waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing in compliance with
CLIA
standards. Assist in phlebotomy and ensure proper specimen handling and documentation. Maintain accurate records and adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication of laboratory results. Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related science field. Licensure:
Active
CA CLS Generalist License (required at submission). Certifications:
ASCP
certification (required). Experience:
Minimum
2 years of CLS experience
required; travel experience. Charting System:
Epic experience. Must be available to complete lab work within
3–5 days of signing. Additional Details
Every other weekend required; one holiday RTO approved per contract. (within 50 miles) accepted at a lower rate. All certifications must be
AHA-approved
and active at the time of submission. Background checks (including DUIs) must be disclosed prior to submission. Return staff may reapply after a 1-year gap. Modules: Average of 1–5 hours during (non-billable). About Care Career
