The Infrastructure Automation Engineer is responsible for leading the implementation of automated IT infrastructure solutions that streamline provisioning, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational risk. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong project management capabilities to deliver innovative, automated, and compliant infrastructure services. The engineer will oversee the full system development life cycle (SDLC), manage hybrid cloud initiatives, and ensure alignment with Agile and CMM Level 3 standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automation, infrastructure modernization, and managing complex enterprise projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Lead the deployment of Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) IT infrastructure automation solutions. Manage vendor relationships to ensure seamless integration and solution alignment with enterprise goals. Build one-click, self-service provisioning and decommissioning solutions for infrastructure and data resources. Oversee all SDLC phases—planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance—focused on automation and optimization. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage timelines following Agile best practices. Lead hybrid cloud automation initiatives from concept to completion. Apply Agile methodologies to define scope, track objectives, and deliver successful outcomes across cross-functional teams. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals and manage expectations. Conduct sprint planning, retrospectives, and progress updates to ensure transparent communication and engagement. Establish and maintain effective communication plans across global and distributed teams. Document key project decisions, risks, and deliverables to ensure traceability and accountability. Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive management and automation. Leverage tools such as Microsoft Power Automate to reduce manual tasks and increase operational efficiency. Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, QA analysts, and infrastructure specialists. Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous innovation within the team. Ensure all automation initiatives comply with governance frameworks, including CMM Level 3 and regulatory requirements. Support audits and compliance activities to mitigate business risks. Implement workflow enhancements and process automation to improve scalability and reduce costs. Stay current with industry trends and integrate emerging technologies into automation strategies. Requirements

Experience

10 years managing full SDLC projects from inception through deployment and maintenance. 8 years of experience leading large-scale IT infrastructure or automation initiatives. 8 years applying Agile or hybrid project management methodologies. Certifications

Project Management Professional ( PMP ) -

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or equivalent experience and relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, PSM). Skills and Attributes

Proven ability to lead complex automation projects in hybrid cloud environments. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation frameworks. Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion. Seniority level
