to lead our commitment to empowering individuals and families in DuPage County to reach their full potential. As a member of the Executive Team and under your strategic leadership, you will collaboratively work with and build relationships with staff within MFS as well as external stakeholders to include providers, funders, the business community and government agencies. In bringing your leadership experience to MFS, you will have an impact on elevating the successes of the MFS team and continue Metropolitan Family Service’s commitment as a leader in the human/social service space. SALARY: The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of

$130,000 - $150,000

For consideration, please submit a cover letter along with your resume and apply via Executive Director - Wheaton, IL - Metropolitan Family Services Jobs ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Serving as both the internal and external face of MFS; the Executive Director develops and maintains relationships to strengthen MFS’s overall capacity and effectiveness. Planning, budgeting, and the development and delivery of high-quality, innovative services. Oversee board development and management, revenue generation, and the stewardship of both public and private funders. Personnel management and the promotion of an accountable and high performing team. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Prior experience managing programs, as well as involvement in fundraising, finance and external relations. Experience with services to individuals and families in the areas of behavioral health, early childhood education, domestic violence is a strong plus, volunteer boards, fund development, and community development work. Executive Director will bring a participatory management style, encouraging input from staff while also having the ability to make sound decisions and hold staff accountable. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication and team-building skills. Ability to work cooperatively with people across disciplines, both within and outside the agency. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in social work, Early Childhood Education, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Clinical Psychology, Business Administration or related field

required. 8+ years in human services or other related fields

required . (Previous senior corporate leadership experience along with volunteer or board experience will be considered.) 5+ years of success in increasing levels of management and supervisory roles

required. Demonstrated experience as a leader/manager in a multimillion-dollar organization

preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks. TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel within DuPage County and the surrounding Chicagoland areas

required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
