At Slack, Growth Product Marketers develop product messaging and positioning, product-led go-to-market programs, digital marketing campaigns, and compelling marketing assets. The role focuses on delivering relevant content in the customer journey that creates new self-service customers and product-qualified sales pipeline. You will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and growth teams to create messaging, positioning, content, and go-to-market strategies grounded in user research and data analysis.
Responsibilities & Impact
Partner with Product Management to understand product strategy and roadmaps, distill key functionality and value into core product positioning and messaging.
Lead end-to-end product-led growth initiatives and craft a compelling self-serve value proposition.
Be accountable for exceptional customer experiences that translate to business outcomes.
Build consensus, alignment, and engagement across Growth, Campaigns, Creative, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Pricing Strategy, and Customer Success.
Lead messaging and positioning strategy and execution for target personas in partnership with global Go-to-Market, Campaigns, Content, and Corporate Marketing teams.
Required Skills
7 years of experience in product marketing, industry marketing, or growth marketing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present in front of executives, vendors, partners, and customers.
Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging.
Collaborative teammate with a proven track record leading and inspiring through influence.
Hands-on experience building marketing assets including positioning and messaging, slide decks, demo videos, and event/webinar content.
Ability to lead new projects in the face of ambiguity.
Experience evaluated based on alignment to core competencies (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work).
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Preferred Skills
Expertise in self-service growth businesses.
Web and mobile-first go-to-market experience.
Expertise in Salesforce products.
Outstanding organizational skills to balance multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Natural collaborator.
