Overview
The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children (AHFC) is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented non-invasive Pediatric Cardiologist that is well versed in fetal cardiology for our growing program. Training and background in fetal and transesophageal echocardiography and a willingness to perform both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities is a must. The candidate must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
Responsibilities
Inpatient (consult) coverage at our main AHFC location with 1 call every 9–10 days and about 5 to 6 weekends per year
Outpatient outreach clinics
Collaboration with experienced Advanced Practice Providers for inpatient and outpatient care
Engage in fetal cardiology and advanced imaging as part of a growing program
Demonstrate strong communication skills and a team-player mentality
Qualifications
Board certification (or eligibility) through American Board of Pediatric Cardiology
Fetal Cardiology and Advanced Imaging experience
Inpatient consult coverage experience at a pediatric hospital
Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality
Practice Description This is an employment opportunity that includes call coverage and a competitive compensation package. Hospital Description Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full-service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated pediatric CICU, a 102-bed NICU, a 17-bed pediatric emergency department, and a statewide pediatric network and transport system. The hospital supports a comprehensive pediatric cardiac program with interventional capabilities and a robust network of services including epilepsy, bone marrow transplantation, and solid organ transplants. AdventHealth for Children has been recognized for newborn care and quality and safety initiatives.
