Overview Cohesity is a leader in AI-powered data security and management. Cohesity helps organizations secure, protect, manage, and get value from data across data center, edge, and cloud environments. The company provides immutable backup snapshots, AI-based threat detection, monitoring for malicious behavior, and rapid recovery at scale. The position described is a Technical Support Engineer based in our Santa Clara office, within the Cohesity support organization. We are looking for passionate people with deep technical expertise and strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Work with Cohesity customers to provide timely resolution to technical issues

Use available tools to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues

Record customer interactions, including investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues

Collaborate with Cohesity engineering and account management teams

Apply judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions

Provide the best possible experience for Cohesity customers

Manage workload to ensure timely resolution of customer issues

Assist in developing comprehensive and reusable self-service solutions for future incidents

Develop knowledge base articles

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with graduation in 2026

Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making

Troubleshooting & problem-solving – ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly

Operating systems knowledge – Windows, macOS, Linux

Networking basics – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches

Basic scripting & automation (optional but valuable) – PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $71,200.00-$89,000.00

The compensation noted is based on an annualized hourly rate for normal full-time employment. This position may be eligible for bonus compensation, commissions (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k), and life and disability insurance.
