The Enterprise Architecture Office defines and governs the principles, standards, and blueprints across business, application, data, and technology domains. This role sits in the Technology Architecture Stream , focusing on infrastructure, integration, security, and emerging-technology enablement across STIB’s hybrid IT landscape. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain technology-architecture strategy, principles, and standards (cloud, infrastructure, integration, security).
Design and document target architectures and reference models for major initiatives.
Model and maintain the enterprise technology landscape and its inter-dependencies (applications, information, assets).
Own and update the central inventory of technology objects , dependencies, and lifecycle status.
Assess technology choices and ensure compliance with architecture governance.
Collaborate with project managers, domain architects, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technology solutions.
Contribute to architecture reviews , RFP evaluations, and vendor selection processes.
Promote adoption of best practices and innovation in technology use (cloud services, data platforms, security frameworks, mobility solutions).
Support the transition to target architecture by ensuring knowledge transfer and change management.
Technical Environment / Scope
Domains: Infrastructure, Integration, Cloud, Security, and Emerging Technologies.
Architecture Modeling: ArchiMate, UML (enterprise modeling repository preferred).
Tooling: Sparx Enterprise Architect, Archi, or similar.
Frameworks & Methodologies: TOGAF (ADM), COBIT, ITIL, Agile/SAFe.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Hybrid (on-prem + Azure/AWS), API Gateways, integration middleware, network security zones.
Security: Zero-Trust model, identity federation, data classification, GDPR alignment.
Enterprise Systems Context: Mobility platforms, ERP modules, data warehouses, IoT and smart transport solutions.
Profile Requirements
Must Have
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Enterprise Architecture, with a strong focus on Technology Architecture .
Deep knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF certification preferred).
Proven expertise in ArchiMate modeling and architecture repositories.
Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud, integration, and security architectures .
Demonstrated ability to produce architecture standards and governance models.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
Experience in large public-sector or transportation organizations.
Familiarity with Agile and Scaled Agile (Agile@Scale / SAFe).
Experience with IT modernization projects (cloud migration, data platforms, integration layer).
Awareness of smart-city or IoT architectures.
Soft Skills
Analytical and structured approach with a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (to both technical and non-technical audiences).
