Job Summary
The Project Accountant
is responsible for all project accounting for jobs assigned, acting as liaison between accounting and project management ensuring accurate and consistent billing and financial reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain organized project contract files Full understanding of AIA G702 and G703 Coordinate subcontractor invoices and payments per contract terms and enter in the system Review project labor and expense charges with Project Managers for accuracy and appropriateness Analyze projects; generate job costing reports to provide meaningful input to project teams and office management Interact with clients and vendors in a professional, courteous manner Full understanding of Timberline BL, PJ, JC, AP modules Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Provide full backup billing of CM Job
Qualifications and Skills
Construction industry experience required Knowledge of commonly used concepts, functions, practices, and procedures within the construction field including cost coding and pricing, purchase orders, etc. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay flexible, while meeting deadlines and goals 5+ years of experience in a similar position 4 Year College Accounting Degree preferred
Computer Systems
Excellent computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office product applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Proficiency in business software application Timberline
Salary Information
To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary offered for this role is $100,000 - 120,000.
