Applicants must possess either education, or IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position. For vacancies below the full-performance level, the basic requirement will be evaluated on a developmental basis. GG-11 Undergraduate or Graduate Education:
Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of those fields and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. – experience reviewing IT-related work or data to ensure accuracy and consistency with standards. Customer Service
– experience having brief contact with customers to provide information about IT products and services. Oral Communication
– experience informing supervisors and IT staff of status and communicating technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving

AND Qualifying Experience: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience as defined for GG-11 or GG-12 levels and demonstrated in their resume. For GG-11: experience performing IT customer support activities such as working with ticketing systems, incident management, and account access management. For GG-12: experience ensuring that installation, configuration, and security of operating systems and administration of cloud-based environments align with the IT framework. A Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in one of these fields. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to the competitive service. A three-year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period. Management has the prerogative to select at either grade level.
