Overview
Identifies the training needs of employers and individuals to design specific training to meet those needs.
Actively participates in the general marketing of the customized training options along with direct sales activities such as engaging in sales calls, cold calls, and activities to sell training solutions to prospective customers.
Develops, maintains, directs, and reviews program curriculum, equipment, schedules, and delivery to ensure program quality.
Monitors the Board-approved budget, prepares invoices, and implements cost controls as well as the reporting of that data.
Develops a system of fiscal accountability to ensure the financial integrity and viability of the programs in the customized training department.
Provides consultative services (e.g. training, advisement, assessments, etc.) to local business and industries to meet the needs of the incumbent workforce.
Maintains records of the appropriate student data ensuring that all student records are accurate and current.
Supervises and evaluates instructional staff and provides professional development activities to ensure a highly qualified instructional staff.
Teaches daytime classes and some evening classes.
Develops, maintains, and grows relationships with business and industry partners.
Promotes the program and recruits students through networking with local school and community groups.
Works with program advisory committees to advance program innovations, evaluate the relevance of emerging technology, and ensure training programs are meeting the needs of local businesses.
Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Associate Degree/Bachelor Degree preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in industry or manufacturing substantiated by education, training and/or work experience.
Sales experience preferred.
Preference given to candidates with experience in teaching adult learners.
Meets requirements for Professional Development as required for the specific assignment.
Adheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
Maintains compliance with drug-free workplace rules, Board policies, and other applicable procedures/guidelines.
Salary Appropriate placement on the Adult Education Supervisors Salary Schedule to be determined by education and experience. Salary will range from $67,858 (Class V, Step 0) to $81,221 (Class V, Step 5). Base contract is 260 days. Minimum workday 7.5 hours per day, exclusive of a lunch break.
One-year contract with opportunity for renewal.
Other Benefits State Teachers Retirement System, Worker’s Compensation, paid sick/personal leave, partial tuition reimbursement, and tax-sheltered retirement contributions. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offered. Some benefits are a shared cost between the employee and the Board of Education.
