Classification Title: Conference-Event Manager I Job Description: Responsibilities
Collaborates with staff and clients to establish event goals and objectives;develops and recommends event operating procedures; establishes andmanages event planning timelines; creates task assignments; and proposesresources needed to execute event. Works with designers to create invitations, promotional and other printedmaterials. - Annual conference, works with Strategic Plan team members.Provides leadership, direction, and coordination among speakers, staff, andvolunteers during event program/production. Establishes professional relationships with community partners, securing supportletters, MOUs, and CEUs. Oversees and facilitates event briefing and coordination of speakers/presenters. Attends advisory committees-Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG). Prepares post-eventanalysis to assess opportunities and make recommendations for improvingevents and services to internal and external constituencies, and to implementrecommendations as appropriate. Seeks out innovative and creative ideas for events through research, networking,continuing education classes, and Grand Rounds. Salary
$61,000 to $70,000 annually depending on education and experience. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma and seven years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Preferred Qualifications
Planning special events and one year experience with HIV population adult/pediatric. Special Instructions to Applicants
